off to Mexico...
I'm off on a little R&D mission with Talking Fish 1. I hold high hopes for this board. It has lots of volume an super clean lines.

what if.....?
I've always liked the look and idea of nose-rider panels. These are some sort of visual delineation near the nose of a surfboard. Mostly they are seen on the deck, but occasionally on the bottom as well. Some are solid color, some are a pattern different from the rest of the board. When working on T. Fish 2, I spied some vellum with a pale green swirl at a local art supply. I did a lamination test to determine its visual integrity once saturated, and it passed. So here it is on Number 2.

Welcome!
Welcome to Talking Fish Austin. This is a purely experimental endeavour. I hope it to be educational (for you and me), thought-provoking, philosophical and fun. It is likely to, at times, seem rudderless. But I have found the quest for information and innovation, indeed, new ways to do things, to be so. So we bounce, we find, we discard, double back, start again, change tacks, shine a new light and keep moving. And we gather information along the way. Some to be used immediately, some is stored for later, for use in a venture that was not even in our realm when we encountered it. So, I guess we are still "hunter-gatherers".
Here, you will find ideas, photos, discussion of works-in-progress, and whatever else "floats my boat". Surfing, woodworking, landscaping, plants and photography are likely topics. But really, anything is possible. Keep your eyes and your mind open...
